BEATIFIQUE.ORG offers free domain and subdomain hosting for personal sites to a few select individuals who wish to assert their creative presence online. That's right, everything is absolutely free! Read on if you are looking for a new, reliable host.
What you get
Both domains AND subdomains get the following perks:
- As much space as you need; look below for plans that will fit your site type
- 20GB of shared bandwidth
- 1 MySQL database
- PHP 5
- CGI-BIN
- Ruby on Rails (Ruby Gems)
- Free installation of a Fantastico script of your choice
- FTP Access (sorry but no cPanel, even for domains)
- Free email account and/or forward (yourname@beatifique.org)
- Weekly backups of your files and databases
- A domain that will not be dead in a year or so -- it's registered for the next five years
- All these without advertisements!

- ° = If your site is a little bit of all site types, that's good too. :) NOTE: The domain is NOT FREE, and I will not buy the domain for you (unless you've joined one of my contests)! You must purchase one yourself before applying. :)
What I will not host
As per the rules of my own hosting company, Onyxx.info, the following material are not allowed on ANY page of the site:
- 1. Any type of illegal content such as warez
- 2. Obscene content, pornography, gore, and nudity
- 3. Racism, bashing harrassment, harmful and malicious content
- 4. Stolen content
- 5. Web Proxy services / scripts
- 6. Remote uploading scripts usage such as rapidleech
- 7. Torrent seeding using torrentflux
- 8. Image hosting site
- 9. Video or media files
- 10. Outdated scripts and software (like Cutenews, GreyMatter, PHPFanbase)
Some other guidelines
- Try to update once every three (3) months. If you can't, you'll have to let me know in your application, and give me a good reason why not. (NOTE: An "update" may consist of a note on the main page that you're alive and you're not leaving the site to collect dust.)
- Make an effort to get in touch with me. Email me every once in a while. Reply to my Tweets. Comment on my tagboard. ANYTHING. Let me know you care about the person who's giving you free space.
- Let me know if you're going into hiatus, or if you want me to close your account. Don't just leave me hanging here. If I don't hear from you in eight (8) months, I'm consider your account deleted.
- Domains are NOT ALLOWED to offer their own free hosting services. That would just be wrong, wouldn't it? I'm offering you webspace for free, but you're just going to give it away in your own name... So no, I don't think so. You can always, of course, just refer them to me.
- If you commit any three (3) infractions, you're out of my hosting wing. I will give you three warnings, after which, you're gone.
- I have the right not to accept anyone at my discretion. I'm looking for mature, creative, good-natured individuals I can get along with. So no anti-Christians, drama queens, backstabbers, thieves, and extremely negative people are welcome here.
