The Internet for the Lord!

Pastor Tod Bolsinger writes about the advantage of using the Internet for evangelization:

“In my last post I argued that pastors, of all people, should blog because we have a vested interest in something that the blogosphere makes more readily available: To more effectively, cheaply and regularly communicate the elements of Christian faith to a wider number of people. This will also, I argued, encourage our long-term pastorates and presence in our home churches (and families) by making it easier to reach larger numbers of people each week without leaving home.” (http://bolsinger.blogs.com/weblog/2005/01/blog_for_christ.html)

Couldn’t agree more. If we use the internet for a whole lot of junk (like the site on email stupidities, which I’m reading now, so I suppose I am a bit complicit to pointlessness :D) why can’t we balance things out with some positivity? It’s quite a surprise to see this page (doing a google search on bloggers for Christ, a web project I’m developing and about to launch, after I set up my domain) after seeing a relevant, but unrelated link: Earlier while bloghopping I landed on innocentlyjaded’s page and atop was a google ad, asking if Jesus is relevant in today’s world. The answer should be experienced here.

Thoughts for Good Friday

From Ian:

We are called to climb Calvary with Jesus, not just to be among the bystanders, but to experience the Way of the Cross. This means carrying our burdens and also making them light for others.

We must not give up even if we fall and falter.. We must think of others first, then ourselves next.

From Yayi:

“You wonder how long My love will last? Find your answer on a splintered cross, on a craggy hill. That’s ME you see up there, your Maker, your God, nail-stabbed and bleeding. Covered in spit and sin-soaked. That’s your sin I’m feeling. That’s your death I’m dying. That’s your resurrection I’m living. That’s how much I love YOU.”

Nails didn’t hold God to a cross.

LOVE did.

God bless!
